- High Liability Limits – Includes robust Third-Party Property Damage and Liability cover up to £20 million.

Flexible Policy Eligibility & Requirements
Our learner driver insurance policies is designed to facilitate safe and responsible practice:
- Driver Age & Licence: You must be aged 17 to 21 and hold a valid provisional UK driving licence.
- Supervision: You must always be accompanied by a full UK licence holder aged over 25.
- Vehicle Status: The vehicle must be insured elsewhere for the duration of the policy (i.e. this is temporary top-up cover).
- Vehicle Value & Group:
- The vehicle must be within insurance groups 1 to 19.
- If you own the vehicle, its maximum value must not exceed £10,000.
- If the vehicle is owned by a family member/friend, its maximum value must not exceed £20,000.
- Compulsory Excess: A minimum compulsory excess of £250 applies in the event of a claim.
Detailed Policy Coverage
Our fully comprehensive learner driver insurance policies includes:
- Full Accident Cover: Legal costs and damages as a result of an accident.
- Property Damage: Third-party property damage and liability up to £20 million.
- Vehicle Damage: Loss or damage due to accidental damage, malicious damage and vandalism, fire, self-ignition, lightning, or explosion, and theft or attempted theft.
- Replacement Guarantee: Replacement vehicle equivalent to your model and specification if the cost of repairs exceeds 60% of the market value.
- Named Driver: Parents can be added as named drivers (subject to underwriting terms).
Extra Protection for Registered Vehicle Owners (Annual Policy Specifics)
Certain benefits are included to protect the owner’s vehicle further:
- Audio equipment up to 10% of the vehicle’s market value up to £500 (only applies to an annual policy)
- Glass & Windscreen: Glass and windscreen cover up to £1000.
- Personal Cover: Personal belongings up to £100.
- Security & Medical: Replacement locks and keys up to £300 and Medical expenses up to £200 for each person injured in the vehicle.
Limitations
We understand how important it is to protect the next generation of drivers while they find their feet on the road. For learner driver insurance cover to be valid, the following criteria must be met:
- Tuition & Testing: The driver must be receiving professional driving tuition or taking an official Driving Standards Agency (DSA) practical driving test.
- Expert Supervision: The learner must be accompanied by a qualified driving instructor/examiner, or a full UK driving licence holder who is over the age of 25 and has held their licence for at least three years.
- Permitted Use: The vehicle must be used for social, domestic, and pleasure purposes only.
