Our Story

VINTTRO is the brainchild of our CEO Simon Bennett, whose lifelong passion for automotive excellence began at just sixteen. Starting his career at National Tyre Services, Simon’s natural drive was quickly recognised by the Transport Manager at Allied Bakeries, who employed him as a garage workshop labourer.

Simon then progressed through a comprehensive four year apprenticeship, qualifying as a body repair technician. He furthered his expertise by completing a three year HND in Transport Law, including a CPC.

15 years on, Simon transitioned into the corporate insurance sector, leveraging his technical expertise to asses motor claims. His unique hands on skill and professional enthusiasm led to rapid promotions, eventually serving as Chief Motor Engineer for a major motor claims management firm.

Simon’s entrepreneurial journey took off in 2004 when he co-founded a start up that expanded to 130 staff across two international sites. After a successful acquisition and exit to a US global insurance brand in 2015, Simon and his partners had already created woop, a young drivers insurance brand that wrote over £30 million pound of GWP, this added another chapter of growth to Simon’s career.

His latest venture, VINTTRO, began in 2017 as a passion project for enthusiasts but has since developed into a full-scale lifestyle brand.

Partnering with fellow entrepreneurs, David Hayward, Jason Balls and Stephen Collis, together they have transformed VINTTRO into a premier destination for lifestyle services.

Overview

VINTTRO began its journey in 2017 and was officially incorporated on July 8th, 2020.

Our journey has resulted in a brand that is as respected as it is recognisable. Built on values of integrity and solid operational foundations, our proposition is both rich and distinctive.

With a combined 100-year legacy in insurance, the four owners, Simon, David, Jason and Stephen witnessed a growing divide between corporate attitude and human value. As such, VINTTRO is a definitive but positive disruptor: a brand built to champion the person over the policy.
